Lets Go Dolphins

Sage Saves the Day and Record Stands

Sage Rosenfels came in the game in the 3rd quarter and came back from a 17-10 deficit to win the game 24-20 at Dolphins stadium. Gus Frerotte sprained a finger at the end of the second quarter which led Coach Nick Saban to start Sage for the 2nd half. He started off very slow with 3 in and out drives on his 1st 5 possesions. Late in the fourth quarter trailing 17-10 he made some big throws and receivers Wes Welker and Marty Booker stepped up. Ricky Williams showed some of that old speed scampering for 17 yard TD to tie the game 17-17. Midway through the 4th quarter Marty Booker seperated himself from 2 defenders and broke a 50 yard TD reception take the lead 24-17. The stingy Dolphins defense gave up a FG to make it 24-20 but never budged again in the contest. Zach Thomas and rookie 4th rounder Matt Roth {Iowa} made big plays down the stretch. Matt Roth had a sack and a fumble recovery late in the game to solidify the Miami Dolphins getting to .500 ball for the second time this year 7-7.

On another note I felt like San Diego was gonna win this game. Gut feeling since last thursday. Glad to see one of the greatest records in football history still standing. Hats off to those Indianapolis Colts but a toast of Champagne to those 1972 17-0 UNDEFEATED MIAMI DOLPHINS!!!!!!!!
