That is a whole-nother ball of wax. I'd take a million to sit the bench as well, but I still think Pennington is the best shot this year to have success. However, you are right FMulder its a waste of time in the longer run.

I can't see where Pennington is in any position to be very demanding about how much money he gets. Any money offered by the Dolphins, or any other team for that matter, is better than what he will make in the real world! I will take a million a year to sit on the bench, run the other teams offense in practice and never get my uniform dirty!

I have mixed feelings about Pennington. At one point, he was a pretty good
NFL quarterback, and then came the injuries. His arm/shoulder strength is
significantly weaker than it was to begin with. That being the case, it's
easy to understand why he lost his starting job last year with the Jets. I
know the Jets weren't as bad as Miami last year, but they certainly weren't
great. If the Dolphins ink Pennington, I don't want to see him take a single
regular season snap. I would only want to see him signed to educate Henne.
Even then, who knows what kind of money he's asking for. Depending on the
price, he may not be worth it. Really, if you're going to sign a veteran QB
for your younger guys to learn from, someone with a little bit higher
winning percentage would be better. I think Pennington is a waste of Miami's
time. Bring back Quincy!
